KinderCare in Green Bay, WI is seeking a kitchen associate to support daily center operations by preparing meals, maintaining hygienic kitchen standards, and coordinating with staff on food safety and nutrition. You will help with supplies, documentation, and cross-functional tasks as the center works toward enrollment and engagement goals.

The role requires at least one year of institutional cooking experience, familiarity with food allergy considerations, and basic computer use.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with accurate conditions and food storage, understand food allergies and cross-contamination avoidance.
• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare adequate quantities for the center.
• Basic math skills for measuring and portions.
• Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain.
• At least one year of institutional cooking; food ordering experience desired.
• Two or more years working with children, desirable.
• Must be able to use a computer and lift up to 40 pounds if required.

• Ability to follow nutritious menus and prepare a sufficient quantity of foods for the center population
• Basic math skills required for measuring and calculating serving portions
• Possess a Food Handler’s License or willingness to obtain
• At least one year of institutional cooking -- food ordering experience highly desirable
• Two or more years working with children, highly desirable
• Must be physically able to use the computer with basic proficiency and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds is strongly desired and may be required to work in some classrooms or in the kitchen
