Cook Assistant, Substitute - Somerset, NJ

Join HOPES Community Action Partnership, Inc. as a Substitute Cook Assistant in Somerset, NJ. This on-call (per diem) position involves supporting meal preparation for children in our Early Childhood Program, ensuring compliance with USDA and CACFP guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal prep, setup, and cleanup for breakfast, lunch, and snacks
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Inspect food deliveries for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain kitchen inventory
  • Support nutrition activities for children and families
  • Participate in team meetings and training
