Job summary

Lewis Clark Early Childhood Program is hiring an Assistant Cook to support our kitchen team in preparing healthy meals for students. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and efficient meal preparation in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers full-time hours (40 per week, 7:00 am–3:30 pm) in Clarkston, WA, with competitive pay and benefits after 90 days, including health and dental coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Willingness to pursue further education as needed/required to acquire or maintain skills.

Cook Assistant (289) - Chestnut Center

So much fun stuff happens in our classrooms every day! And that fun is powered through the good, nutritious meals prepared in our kitchens. LCECP is seeking a good cook, who has strong understanding of kitchen safety, and meal preparation.

Position Summary:

Our Assistant Cooks are an important part of the kitchen team at LCECP, by helping to prepare all the healthy, nutritious meals that come out of our kitchens to feed our students. We are looking for someone who likes being part of a team and making a difference in children's lives. We are looking for a good cook, who enjoys a fast-paced job.

The Assistant Cook will be responsible for:

• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
• Work with the Kitchen Supervisor and Cook to ensure an accurate inventory
• Complete all reporting, neatly and accurately
• Completed food preparation and serves food as assigned

Education Requirement:

Hours: 40 hrs./52 weeks a year | Shift: 7 am to 3:30 pm

Wage: $17.13 per hour

This position is eligible for full dental and health benefits after 90 days. Competitive wage based on education and experience. (12) paid holidays Position accrues sick and vacation time.
