Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standard of food quality by ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment.
- Prepare and assemble ingredients, pans, utensils, plates, and serving pieces for each dish or serving period.
- Establish and maintain proper hot and cold food temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Maintain proper labeling of food products.
- Practice portion control to keep food costs low.
- Ensure the station is properly stocked to par sheets.
- Maintain equipment and report any breakdowns to the supervisor or manager immediately.
- Report to the Manager or Supervisor about changes or new tasks.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and respect fellow employees and guests.
- Be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for several hours at a time.
- Be organized and able to work under pressure.
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum six (6) months of experience in the food service industry.
- Experience working with slicers, food processors, knives, fryers, ovens, and toasters.
- Knowledge of proper food handling and storage procedures.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of culinary terminology and proper knife usage.
- Strong communication skills with managers/supervisors, servers, and other culinary specialists.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Organized and able to work under pressure.
- 18 years of age or older.

Due to the type of business, you must be able to work nights, weekends, special occasions, and holidays.
