Job summary

The Salvation Army Texarkana Center of Hope is seeking a part-time cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in a safe, presentable manner. You will also handle kitchen cleaning, inventory maintenance, and follow established guidelines and schedules.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of cooking for large groups, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. This role includes benefits and day shifts.

• Ability to drive a Salvation Army vehicle safely following all laws, regulations, and policies.

What we are looking for in youEducation and Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D., AND
• One-year experience cooking food for large groups, OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Certifications

• Valid State Driver's License
• Food Handler’s Certificate (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
