Colonial Williamsburg Foundation is seeking a skilled cook to join our culinary team. The role involves preparing soups and sauces, and working across broiler, sauté, banquet, and pantry stations, using standard cooking methods and recipes.
Applicants must have a 2-year culinary apprenticeship or culinary associate degree, with knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to work under supervision to deliver quality meals. Food handler’s card is required if currently held.
Upon being hired for this position, you will enter a Probationary status, working up to 40 hours per week.
Upon completion of the probationary period, you could become benefit eligible.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
