Job Title: Cook 2 PT ($14/hr + tips)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: All duties are essential job functions. Employees are expected to follow any other job-related instructions and perform any other duties requested by their supervisor. 1. Provide excellent guest service, demonstrating #AddLife culture in all interactions.
2. Create a supportive environment for Team Members.
3. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
4. Prepare medium complexity hot and cold foods, including sauces, gravies, accompaniments, and garnishes, following recipes and guidelines.
5. Maintain knowledge of advanced food preparation and handling techniques.
6. Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment.
7. Follow safety and sanitation rules and practices.
8. Prepare entrees, vegetables, salads, and desserts as per recipes and preparation sheets.
9. Coordinate preparation based on forecasts and headcounts.
10. Visually inspect and ensure food presentation quality.
11. Perform daily food temperature checks and taste tests for quality assurance.
12. Complete preparation records and store food properly.
13. Clean work areas and equipment.
14. Follow safety procedures, including fire safety and proper lifting techniques.
15. Resolve issues within scope and escalate beyond scope to supervisors.
16. Maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
17. Keep supervisors informed of relevant activities.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: Comply with laws and regulations, attend training, obtain necessary licenses, and ensure minors are not allowed to gamble, loiter, drink, or purchase tobacco in gambling areas. Be knowledgeable of policies and report any wrongdoing.

Position Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years related experience. Virginia Racing Commission License and Serv-Safe certification required.
