Job summary

Pennant Group is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our senior living community in Abilene, Texas. You will prepare and serve meals, follow recipes, and maintain high sanitation and safety standards to ensure a quality dining experience for residents and staff.

The role requires at least one year of cooking experience and Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain on hire). You will work as part of a team, deliver timely service, and support resident dining expectations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of cooking experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to read and follow recipes accurately.

About the Opportunity

Ensures efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff. Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation. Reads and follows recipes to ensure consistency of the product. Prepares and serves our one meal a day, lunch as assigned. Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Is knowledgeable in food preparation techniques and presentation. Other relevant duties may be required or assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must possess Serv-Safe certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.
