Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Cook to support our kitchen operations.

Under direct supervision, you will prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and safety standards, ensuring quality and consistency across menu items. You will contribute to inventory management, adhere to health codes, and collaborate with a friendly team to deliver meals that support patient and staff wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and cooks foods according to recipe standards utilizing basic culinary techniques. Prepares food ensuring that strict safety standards are followed.
  • Determines food quantities and requirements needed and plans maximum utilization of ingredients, food and leftovers.
  • Plans, pulls and preps ingredients as needed.
  • Adheres to all food hygiene and health and safety requirements in order to meet regulatory and company standards.
  • May order and stock inventory for the department.
  • Resolves routine questions, issues and problems; refers more complex issues to higher levels.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You Can Expect
