Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Position Overview

The Cook 1 is a member of the Food & Beverage Team responsible for food preparation, cooking, and serving. Reports to the Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Master one kitchen station, taking responsibility for personal decisions and actions.
  2. Ensure high standards of service meet guest and employee requirements.
  3. Exceed guest satisfaction by proactively addressing challenges.
  4. Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a sanitary environment.
  5. Prepare food using proper techniques, read cooking instructions.
  6. Handle ingredients: wash, peel, cut, shred.
  7. Measure and mix ingredients per recipes for various dishes.
  8. Cook using baking, roasting, broiling, steaming; adjust oven controls.
  9. Test food by tasting, smelling, observing.
  10. Carve meats, portion food, add garnishes, and serve.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Primarily indoor kitchen setting with exposure to heat, steam, noise. May work outdoors at events, navigating varied terrains. Physical demands include speaking, hearing, tasting, standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and manual dexterity.
