Job summary

Le Jardin Academy is seeking a Cook 1 for a Regular Part-time position in Kailua, Hawaii. Ideal candidate will have customer service and basic math skills, plus food prep experience. Work schedule is ten months, Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with weekends as needed.

Reports to the Food Services Manager and includes benefits as described. Non-exempt under FLSA. The role involves food truck and concession service to students, maintaining sanitary conditions, and strict adherence to health regulations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated customer service excellence.
• Basic math ability to accurately count and handle money.
• Food prep experience preferred.
• Experience relevant to school or similar facility operations preferred.
• Team-oriented environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
• Operate and maintain food truck cooking equipment, including an open flame grill, burners, and two deep fryers.
• Upholding quality and food sanitation standards as required by the Food Service Manager.
• Preparation and stocking of all food and beverages.
• Serving students in both food truck and concession area as required.
• Cleaning of kitchen and Food Truck.
• Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Keeps up to date with Department of Health regulations.
• Additional duties as needed.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Hourly pay rate: $19.00 per hour.
