Qualifikationen

• Ability to assist with maintaining inventory levels.
• Ability to handle prep work across 2–3 stations with minimal help.

• Adherence to Pennsylvania health regulations and ServSafe guidelines.

• Maintain ownership of assigned station; keep it clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines for consistency.
• Work with kitchen team to ensure smooth service during highs volume.
• Communicate with line cooks, prep staff, and expeditor for timely tickets.
• Monitor food quality and presentation; only dishes meeting standards leave the kitchen.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines including proper handling and storage.
• Learn and maintain allergy information for all menu items.
• Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed.

Be part of the opening team at Hershey Social Restaurant + Bar, downtown Hershey’s newest restaurant and bar. Located near the iconic intersection of Cocoa and Chocolate Avenue, Hershey Social features bold flavors, signature cocktails, and over-the-top desserts inspired by Hershey’s chocolate roots.

Responsible for preparing all food items according to prep sheets and standardized recipes with speed and consistency of quality.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

• Prepare and execute dishes to exacting standards during service on assigned stations (e.g., pantry, sauté, broil, fry, dessert).
• Maintain ownership of assigned station, ensuring it is clean, organized, and properly stocked before, during, and after service.
• Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency across all menu items.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service, especially during high-volume periods.
• Communicate effectively with other line cooks, prep staff, and the expeditor to ensure timely ticket completion.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring only dishes that meet our standards leave the kitchen.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling and storage.
• Learn and maintain allergy information for all menu items
• Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Average to above knife skills
• Ability to follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty
• Ability to efficiently set up and maintain a workstation
• Ability to demonstrate the outlet style of cuisine through food tasting and preparation
• Ability to assist Chef with maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Ability to handle average amounts of prep work and work 2-3 stations with little or no difficulty and minimal assistance
• Ability to work with position, supportive attitude, skill, speed and cleanliness
• Ability to exhibit proper food handling procedures in accordance with Pennsylvania regulations and adhere to all ServSafe guidelines.

Job Demands:

Based on operational need, (including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays,) the working schedule may include up to 40+ hours per week

Physical requirements include standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift at least 40 pounds

Must be comfortable working in temperature variations
