Responsibilities
  • Follow recipes to prepare and cook food meeting departmental standards or as directed.
  • Measure, convert, and substitute ingredients without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef to monitor culinary standards, kitchen operations, and facilities.
  • Ensure food preparation is efficient, the kitchen is clean, well-stocked, and free of issues.
  • Prepare food items based on established recipes and plating procedures, maintaining quality, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Understand and operate kitchen equipment safely, regulating temperatures for proper cooking.
  • Proficient in preparing soups, sauces, starches, thickeners, and emulsifiers.
  • Perform various culinary tasks such as broiler, sauté, Asian cuisine, and prep work as needed.
  • Be skilled in butchering meats and seafood.
  • Follow all regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
  • Write prep lists and manage inventory.
  • Work with culinary leadership to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit excellent knife skills, including classic cuts and sharpening.
  • Assist in operating other food and beverage venues as required.
  • Attend departmental and company training sessions and meetings.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas through proper cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Perform duties safely and responsibly.
  • Meet uniform, appearance, and grooming standards, including wearing slip-resistant shoes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable food preparation methods for the role.
