Main Duties

• Certificate in Culinary Arts from a technical school.
• At least one year restaurant cooking experience (formal culinary training will substitute for 1 year work experience on an equal time basis).
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays ranging from 5 a.m. to midnight
• Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a current Williamsburg James City County food handler’s card; applicants with an active food handler's card should be prepared to present it during the interview process.
• Ability to: (1) interact withguests and co-workers in a professional manner; (2) read food orders and production charts; (3) maintain standards listed below
• STANDARDS:Maintain a positive, enthusiastic outlook; smile and greet guests, employees, managers, and supervisors; show respect for and cooperate at all times with those for whom and with whom you work; report to work as scheduled and on time; meet appearance standards; perform assigned tasks accurately and on time.

This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
