Job summary

Avir Vista is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our team. The role focuses on preparing high-quality foods for residents on regular and modified diets, ensuring adherence to state health regulations and facility standards.

The ideal candidate is resident-focused, team-oriented, and committed to caring for our community. You will prepare and cook meals with a variety of equipment, adjust recipes for servings, and supervise other staff as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets for individual residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield required servings.
• Test recipes and recommend changes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Avir Vista is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family!

We are searching for a Dietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards.
