Job summary

Sagora Senior Living in Tyler, Texas is seeking a part-time Cook to prepare high-quality meals for residents across independent living, assisted living and memory care settings. You will be part of a friendly, team-focused kitchen that values service excellence and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires 1+ years in a commercial kitchen, ServSafe and Food Handler’s permits, and strong communication skills to coordinate with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s permit as regulated by state and local authorities.
• Must have skills in preparing specialized dishes for specific diets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in friendly and courteous manner.
