Job summary

Legend Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients and contribute to the Gold Leaf Dining experience that sets high standards for atmosphere and quality.

You will support residents by meeting dietary needs, ensuring service quality, and maintaining clean production and service areas. A minimum of one year in a commercial kitchen is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide high level culinary service and professional interaction.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and staying organized.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dietary needs of residents and fulfill special meal requests.
• Prepare meals from the menu and assist with service.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspect work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards.
• Follow safe work procedures including food safety and infection control.
• Label and date all food in refrigeration and storage areas.

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Cook. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by using fresh ingredients to create nourishing meals from scratch. The culinary team enhances Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.

Responsibilities--Cook

• Providing hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of the residents and fulfilling special meal requests when needed
• Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with the service of the meals
• Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas
• Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
• Following safe work procedures to include injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage

Requirements--Cook

• Required: Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant
