Legend Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join the culinary team and prepare nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients. You will contribute to the Gold Leaf Dining experience, ensuring high standards of atmosphere and quality for our residents.

Applicants should have at least one year of restaurant experience and demonstrate strong culinary skills, organization, and a team-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a commercial restaurant.
• Ability to provide high-level culinary service and professional interaction to residents and associates.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be organized, flexible and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with residents' dietary needs and fulfill special meal requests.
• Prepare meals from the menu and assist with meal service.
• Maintain cleanliness of production and service areas.
• Inspect work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet food service standards.
• Follow safe work procedures including injury prevention, food safety and infection control.
• Label and date all food in refrigeration, freezing, and dry storage.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS -- Cook

We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Cook. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by using fresh ingredients to create nourishing meals from scratch. The culinary team enhances Legend’s Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.

Responsibilities -- Cook

• Providing hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of the residents and fulfilling special meal requests when needed
• Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with the service of the meals
• Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas
• Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
• Following safe work procedures to include injury prevention, food safety, and infection control.
• Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage
