Job summary

KFC is hiring at Spruce Pine, NC for a team-focused cook role. You will prepare and cook chicken to order, operate fryers and grills, and maintain high sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

The role requires ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, plus the ability to lift up to 15 pounds. Prior kitchen experience is preferred but not required.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Prepares world-famous chicken that is cooked to order or kept warm until ordered and sold.
• Operates large-volume cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, or deep fryers.
• Prepares, washes, and cuts food to be cooked.
• Prepares and cooks food according to instructions provided on food order slips or through verbal directions; verifies the quality and quantity of all orders.
• Maintains overall sanitation, health, cleanliness, and safety standards for food preparation areas, cooking services, and dishes and utensils.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
