Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a Cook for our senior living community. You will prepare hot and cold items across grill, sauté, salad bar and service lines, following standardized recipes and menus.

Applicants should have strong communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Weekend availability is required; experience in senior living is preferred and meals are served with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or healthcare food service preferred.
• Proven ability to maintain quality and consistency in meals.
• Ability to work cohesively with kitchen and dining staff.

Our community is looking for a Cook to join our team.

Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line;
• Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes;
• Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Senior Living preferred
• Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
• Great organizational skills a must
• Strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
• Must be able to work weekends.
