Job summary

AlleyCorp is seeking a Cook in San Jose, CA to join our kitchen team and prepare meals for residents in a supportive, restaurant-style environment.

You will work with staff to ensure a clean, safe kitchen and deliver meals that contribute to a positive resident experience. This role requires reading and following recipes, maintaining logs, and adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare
• Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards
• Ability to read and follow recipes, guides, cleaning schedules and logs

Responsibilities

• Join the kitchen staff in preparing and cooking food for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, employees and coworkers.
• Understand that dining in the restaurant-style atmosphere can be the highlight of residents’ day.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.
