Job summary

Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time cook to prepare and cook meals, serve patients and guests, and assist with large-scale food production. The role requires following recipes, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work.
  • Two+ years of Grill Cook experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

  • Understand workflow, priorities, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food and serve customers.
  • Follow recipes and instructions for up to 200 meal tickets per shift.
  • Assist with bulk food items, large-scale production, and catered meals.
  • Maintain organized and sanitary workstation and proper product rotation.
  • Deliver patient meals, cashier, or stock as needed.
  • Operate ware-washing equipment safely and efficiently.

This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
