First Step House in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking a dedicated Food Services Cook for a full-time seasonal role with a 36-hour work week. The position focuses on preparing nutritious meals for clients in a clean, safe kitchen environment and coordinating with the Food Services team to support recovery programs.

Starting pay is $20.81 per hour. Ideal candidates will have a Food Handler Permit, a valid driver's license, and experience in cooking for large groups or institutional settings.

• Completing daily food preparation and kitchen setup.
• Cooking banquet- or family-style meals (no individual restaurant orders).
• Following proper food handling, sanitation, and Health Department guidelines.
• Opening and closing the kitchen each day.
• Washing dishes and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries.
• Transporting food to nearby First Step House locations as needed.
• Assisting with inventory and maintaining an organized kitchen.

What You'll Do

As a Food Services Cook, you'll help prepare and serve nutritious meals for clients across our programs while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
