Job summary

Trilogy Health Services in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve high-quality meals that support residents' health and well-being. You will follow established safety and sanitation standards while delivering a positive dining experience.

You will assist with inventory, supervise Dietary staff when needed, and help set up meal service stations, ensuring meals are served fresh and on time. This role offers weekly pay and a comprehensive Thrive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 1-2 years cooking experience preferred.
• Experience following safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh scratch-made meals for residents.
• Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory and ordering.
• Store food properly to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Supervise Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is away.
• Set up breakfast bars and meal service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness and complete kitchen cleaning tasks.
• Prepare and stock snacks and pantry items for residents.
• Use technology and computerized systems to manage dining services.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Cook you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals that support the health and well‑being of residents. You will ensure all food is prepared according to established safety and sanitation standards while creating a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh scratch‑made meals using a recipe for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.
• Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.
• Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas
• Utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for our residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years similar cooking experience preferred
