Job summary

Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno, NV is seeking a kitchen helper to prepare various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guest consumption, and enjoyment.

You will maintain cleanliness and sanitation, request supplies, monitor equipment, store items properly, and communicate with the chef to prevent shortages. The role requires a HS diploma or GED and a Food Safety and Sanitation training certificate; ability to read and speak English is preferred.

• Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates stock.
• Adheres to safe work practices and maintains regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Description

General Purpose:

Prepares various food products for restaurant and banquet operations, guestconsumptionand enjoyment.

Pay:Final hourly rate DOE

Preparessufficient quantities offoodproductin accordancetoproduction plan or forecast needs.

Utilizes whole foodproductseliminatingany waste.

Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.

Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns, food overages, or shortagesin a timely manner.

Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.

Ensures proper storage of food items, wraps, dates, and rotates food items.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties asrequired.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, hears, tastes and smells.
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
• Occasionallysits,climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.
• Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.

Regularly worksin extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.

Occasionallyworks in extreme cold (non-weather), wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near toxic or caustic chemicals,and inoutdoor weather.

Noiselevel is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:
