Job summary

Cedargate Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, MO is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare meals for residents in a patient-focused kitchen. You will handle ingredients, follow established recipes, and support the dietary team with daily meal preparation.

The role emphasizes food safety, teamwork, and reliable shift coverage under the Dietary Director, delivering meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a warm, caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store raw materials, cooked food, and non-food supplies properly
• Order, restock, and maintain inventories for kitchen supplies and equipment
• Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Follow establishment recipes when preparing meals
• Prepare ingredients in accordance with menu requirements
• Adhere to food health and safety procedures
• Cook, clean, and assist other staff in daily operations
• Deliver food in a fast-paced environment
• Work shifts as assigned by the Dietary Director
