Job summary

Hillcrest Educational Centers, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will review menus, estimate food orders, and cook a variety of dishes while ensuring a clean campus dining environment.

Experience with food preparation and accurate measurement is required; a current ServSafe and Food Allergy Certificate (or within 6 months) is required. This full‑time role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits as part of a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three to four years of experience in working with foods; knowledge of proportions and percentages for quantity calculations.
• Current ServSafe Certificate and Food Allergy Certificate (or obtain within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Review menus and estimate quantities of foods to order and prepare.
• Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foods.
• Maintain clean and orderly campuses and dining areas.

Compensation:

$22.50 - $24.66 per hour

Position Description:

Responsible for reviewing menus and determining estimates of quantities of foods to be ordered and prepared. Prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs for consumption. Work to ensure campuses and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition.

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:

Three to four years of experience in working with foods. Experience with proportions and percentages to calculate volume, weights, and measures.

Licenses or Certification:

Have a Current ServSafe Certificate and Food Allergy Certificate (or obtain within 6 months of holding position);
