Job summary

Parkhurst Dining is hiring a Cook in Pittsburgh. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm, in a values-driven environment with growth opportunities within Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.

You will prepare dishes per Parkhurst recipes, enforce batch cooking, and ensure quality and temperature controls. Daily production sheets and teamwork with line servers are essential.

Qualifications

• Standing and/or walking for the majority of the shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

• Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and batch cooking methods.
• Maintain quality and quantity of food during service with production sheets.
• Ensure proper line presentation, temps, utensils, and recipe compliance.
• Communicate with line servers about daily food items.
• Complete daily production sheets.

• Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and also enforce the “batch” cooking method.
• Ensure the quality of the food produced and maintain the quality and quantity of food throughout the service period, utilizing production sheets.
• Ensure proper line presentation: proper pans are used, pans are garnished, proper utensils are used according to recipe specifications, and food products are maintained at the proper serving temperatures as specified by recipes or management.
• Maintain open lines of communication with other associates, e.g., line servers, concerning specific information about food items on a daily basis.
• Complete daily production sheets.
