Job description

A $500 hiring bonus may be paid to applicants who successfully onboard with a signed Service Commitment Agreement.

This position will be assigned to the Main Child Development Center and is a Regular position with guaranteed hours. You are also eligible for NAF benefits such as:

Duties

• Performs duties including, but not limited to, roasting, broiling, baking, frying, boiling, steaming, and stewing meats, fish, and poultry.
• Prepares soups, stocks, broths, gravies, sauces, and puddings without packaged mixes.
• Adjusts recipes for servings, performs yield testing, and prepares cold food platters and salads.
• Makes cold sauces, meat glazes, aspics, and salad dressings; carves vegetables and fruits for garnishes.
• Coordinates cooking of multiple items to produce complete meals on time and at proper temperatures.
• Prepares cold food platters and garnishes as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• Physical ability to complete a pre-employment physical including lifting requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain current immunizations, including annual influenza vaccinations, and be free of communicable diseases.
• Complete assigned training, including Food Handlers Certification, within the required timeframe.
