Responsibilities
  1. Gather supplies needed to prepare lunch.
  2. Prepare food from the lunch menu using standard recipes according to club standards.
  3. Maintain cleanliness of station and cooking equipment.
  4. Set up, maintain, and break down the lunch cook station.
  5. Identify product needs and request necessary items.
  6. Notify Chefs of expected shortages in advance.
  7. Ensure safety and security in the work area.
  8. Maintain a neat, professional appearance and observe personal hygiene standards.
  9. Comply with health and safety regulations, maintaining high sanitary standards.
  10. Store leftovers properly, covering and dating them.
  11. Cook meats to club standards, set up and clean the broiler station.
  12. Supervise the cold kitchen, preparing and garnishing cold products attractively.
  13. Prepare cold sauces, dressings, and sandwiches following recipes.
  14. Request necessary food supplies for menu items.
  15. Assist with additional duties as assigned by the culinary leadership.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of professional kitchen experience; culinary training may substitute for some experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Detect and address food and labor waste issues.
  • Consistently provide excellent customer service.
  • Knowledge of vegetarian and vegan cuisines.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • High personal hygiene standards.
  • Ability to operate dishwashing equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Effective multitasking and time management skills.
  • Precision in measuring and working with materials.
  • Operational knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and repetitive motions.
  • Work in hot conditions for extended periods.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English proficiently.
