Job summary

Far West Restaurants is hiring a Cook to prepare fresh, high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work with a team to ensure orders are accurate, served hot, and presented well while maintaining strict food safety standards.

Qualified candidates will have a Food Handler Certification and prior cooking experience; reliability and teamwork are essential for daily operations and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have Food Handler Certification.
• Restaurant or cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen and follow recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to company recipes and standards.
• Cook, sauce, and package orders accurately.
• Ensure every order meets quality and presentation standards.
• Read and prepare orders quickly and accurately.
• Work with the Front of House team to deliver orders on time.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures including oil filtering.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Help minimize food waste while maintaining product quality.
• Assist with opening, closing, and daily cleaning tasks including hood filter cleaning.
• Support the team wherever needed.
• Help create an exceptional guest experience with every order.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods

• Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with varying temperatures
