Job summary

Aperion Care is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, and facility policies. The role involves reviewing menus, coordinating with the dietitian, and ensuring adherence to established food service procedures.

The position may include working with residents, staff, and visitors, while maintaining quality service and safety standards. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available, subject to hours and other requirements.

Qualifications

• One (1) year dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.
• Must have State Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Must be able to read, speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies.

SUMMARY:

The Cook is responsible for food preparation in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Dietitian and/or Director of Food Services, to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. There is a $2,000.00 sign on bonus available, subject to minimum hours and other requirements.
