We are looking for a dedicated Cook who is passionate about preparing meals with care and creating a positive dining experience for seniors

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving meals according to planned menus, following dietary and nutritional guidelines, and ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment. This role is vital in promoting our residents' quality of life through nourishing and enjoyable meals. Be part of a team that nourishes lives every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary restrictions, resident preferences, and standardized recipes
  • Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas
  • Assist with menu planning and recipe adjustments based on resident needs
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with dietary staff and nursing team to meet resident nutrition goals
  • Monitor food and supply inventory and notify supervisor of needed items

Minimal Education

High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Minimal Experience

  • Six months food preparation experience in a hospital, institutional or restaurant preferred.
  • Experience in long term care or health care is preferred.

Other Qualifications

  • Certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, ability to write, add and subtract.
  • Must have good organization skills and be creative.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and accept responsibility for the accuracy and quality of work performed.
