Job summary

Meridian Senior Living is seeking a Cook to support our dining services by preparing and delivering nutritious meals for residents and managing kitchen sanitation and supplies. You will work closely with the Dining Services Manager to ensure high-quality service and resident satisfaction.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate care for the elderly, and excellent communication with residents, families, and staff in a community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• Food Handlers Permit as required by State regulations.
• Experience working with the elderly.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Ability to work as a team member and individually.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public.
• Must meet health requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• As a Cook, you will work closely with our Dining Services Manager and be responsible for the Community’s food ordering, preparation, and delivery as well as kitchen sanitation.
• You will ensure food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing fashion and maintain supplies and equipment.
• You will provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
