Powerlink has an immediate need for a skilled Dietary Cook with a solid work history to join our Foodservice Operations team. Powerlink provides Healthcare Integrated Services to Long-Term Care and Senior Living Facilities across the United States, located in Warren, MI. Our services include Food and Nutrition, Environmental Services, Laundry, and Facility Maintenance.

Job Summary

The Dietary Cook works under the supervision of the Culinary and Dietary Managers. Responsibilities include food preparation, production and inventory control, kitchen safety, sanitation, equipment use, food safety, recipe adherence, therapeutic diets, and modified textured foods and liquids. The cook assists with ordering, maintains a clean and safe work area, and supports dietary aides as needed.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of experience as a cook in healthcare or long-term care settings
• Effective communication in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Availability to work weekends and holidays with flexible hours
• Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Experience with safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours a day
• Must reside in Chesterfield, MI or nearby areas

Preferred Qualifications

• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification
