Job summary

Nashville General Hospital is actively hiring a Cook to join our food service team in Nashville, TN. The Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and delivering meals, snacks, and beverages to clients and clinics, while upholding high standards of food safety.

Responsibilities include supporting catering services, maintaining sanitation, managing inventory, and assisting with kitchen maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Minimum 1 year of food service or cook experience required.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and varying catering schedules.

The Cook is responsible for providing, setting up, cleaning up, transporting, and cooking 3 days with the Sous Chef, preparing food for clients while ensuring food safety and hygienic procedures are always followed.
