TrustPoint Beahvioral Health Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking a dedicated Cook to implement menus and coordinate food preparation while serving meals to patients. The role requires preparing meals according to approved menus and overseeing staff who assist in preparation and service.

We value candidates with two+ years of food service experience in institutions, preferably with culinary training and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.
• Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
• Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and proper operation.
• Take inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied and nutritionally balanced.
• Coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with policies, quality standards, cost parameters and regulatory requirements.

TrustPoint Hospital is a 217-bed, state-of-the-art treatment center providing comprehensive medical and psychiatric services on both inpatient and outpatient bases. Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERTISE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.
