Job summary

Trilogy Health Services, LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality, resident-focused meals while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. You will support the Food Service Manager with inventory and supervise Dietary staff as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, efficient kitchen operations, and delivering a positive dining experience for residents and families in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of similar cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to supervise Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare scratch-made meals for residents according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Assist with inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Store food and kitchen items properly to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Supervise and support Dietary staff when needed.
• Set up breakfast bars and service stations; maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Prepare and stock snacks and pantry items for resident areas.
• Utilize computerized systems to ensure safe and efficient dining experiences.

Position Overview

As a Cook you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals that support the health and well-being of residents. You will ensure all food is prepared according to established safety and sanitation standards while creating a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh scratch-made meals using a recipe for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies.
• Properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable.
• Set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed.
• Prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas.
• Utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for our residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSE preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years similar cooking experience preferred
