Job summary

Trio-Community Meals in Montgomery, AL is seeking an experienced cook to join a motivated kitchen team. You will work in a fast-paced environment to prepare and serve high-quality meals for the community.

You will handle quality and portion control, food preparation, and creative presentation while ensuring proper storage and strict adherence to recipes. A minimum of one year in a high-volume, scratch-cooking setting and strong customer service are required.

Qualifications

  • At least one year of culinary experience in a high-volume establishment with scratch cooking.
  • Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment and identify food items.
  • Customer service experience is required.

The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced cook to work with a highly motivated and energetic kitchen staff in our Montgomery, AL location for our Community Meals division. As a cook for TRIO Community Meals you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, efficient environment and cook delicious meals. What we're looking for:

Must-haves:

  • At least one years’ prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
  • Working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items.
  • Customer service experience is required.
