According to the approved menu cycle and production sheets, the Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff.

  • Collaborate with kitchen team members to ensure timely and efficient food preparation during service.
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
  • Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
  • Occasionally serve food
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes.
  • Handle and store ingredients and food
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Execute opening and closing procedures
  • Set up workstations with the required ingredients and equipment
  • Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Monitor station inventory levels
  • Be able to adapt to high-pressure situations and busy service periods.

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

  • Education/Experience:Must have at least two (2) yearsexperience in a quantity cooking; basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation andpossession of food service food handler’s permit as required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.
  • Additional Skill Requirements:

-Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
- Attention to detail in presentation, flavor, and consistency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and evenings.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for culinary arts.

Additional Requirements:You may be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role, and the expected compensation range is $14.00 - $17.00 hourly. We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates, and consideration will be provided to experience and skill level. Join us as our Cook!
