Job summary

Ozark Action, Inc. in Missouri seeks a kitchen staffer to provide nutritious meals for Head Start centers and maintain a clean, safe dining and kitchen area.

Job description

Objectives

Provide meals for children and staff in the Head Start centers. Support nutritional education of children and families.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or HiSet preferred. (1-2 years’ experience working with preschool age children could be considered in lieu of High School Diploma per Director of Head Start approval.)

Specific Responsibilities

• Provides nutritious meals; maintains a clean and safe environment


• Purchases food and kitchen supplies appropriately and in a cost-effective manner


• Ensures compliance with program regulations and standards


• Contributes to team effort


• Develops professional and technical knowledge, including training, workshops, webinars, and professional development


• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs


• Class E or CDL required within 4 months of date of hire; obtain/maintain CPR/First Aide certification.
