Job summary

Lifespace Communities invites you to join Newcastle Place as a Cook at 12600 N PortMequon, Mequon, WI. This on-site role offers a starting pay rate of $19 per hour with pay range from $17.81 to $24.47+, and both full-time and part-time shifts are available.

You will prepare meals per menu, plate and garnish dishes, and coordinate production with service times while upholding food safety and sanitation standards in a supportive senior living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience as a prep cook or similar position.
• State certification in Safe Food Handling and Sanitation, if state certification program exists.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food items per menu requirements following designated recipes.
• Prepare plates and garnish food items to be served to residents and guests.
• Prepare food production to coordinate with meal service hours so that quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved.
• Ensure food safety by monitoring food temperatures and use proper food storage techniques in accordance with state and local standards.
• Maintain work area in a safe and sanitary condition may include cleaning cooking equipment, and other areas of the kitchen as assigned.
