Providence Portland Medical Center is seeking a Cook for a full-time, day schedule. The successful candidate will prepare hot and cold items, follow recipes, and maintain clean, stocked service areas while delivering courteous service to patients and staff.

Provides courteous, friendly food service to patients, employees, visitors, and physicians by preparing hot and cold food items on the grill or fryer, according to recipes and menu request, using designated and appropriate food service equipment. Complies with department standards and uses knowledge of proper food handling techniques. Sets up, stocks, and cleans service areas.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: On the job training, formal culinary arts program, military apprentice program or
• 1 year experience as a cook or short order cook.
• Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority
• Experience in team environment with common goals.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
