Job summary

Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital is seeking a Cook for the day shift to oversee patient and visitor meal service in the hospital setting. The role emphasizes strict adherence to food safety standards and teamwork within the dietary department.

The successful candidate will have a National Food Handler Card and ideally prior hospital or professional culinary experience, with opportunities to assist in inventory ordering and lead duties when the manager is away.

The cook position provides for and oversees the delivery of meal services to patients and hospital visitors. The cook is responsible for following all safe food handling regulations, practices and procedures. In the absence of the department manager, the cook may serve as a lead for the unit. The cook may help with on-line ordering of food inventory.
