Job summary

The Little Miami Primary School is seeking a part-time Cook Assistant for 4 hours per day from 10:00 to 2:00. The role supports the Kitchen Manager by preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in line with district menus, recipes, and USDA guidelines.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen records, operating the POS, following safety rules, keeping areas clean, storing unused food properly, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job description

The Little Miami Primary School is looking for a 4 hr./day from 10:00-2:00. The Cook assists the Kitchen Manager with preparing and serving nutritious, safe, and appealing meals to students and staff in accordance with district menus, standardized recipes, and USDA guidelines. Responsibilities include maintaining required kitchen records, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, following food safety and health regulations, maintaining personal hygiene and good attendance, cleaning kitchen and cafeteria areas, and properly storing or disposing of unused food. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and understand the difference between reimbursable school lunches and à la carte items.

Pay:

Starting pay is $1.07 per hour and can go up to $20.82 per hour pending experience

The Board pays 90% of the Health premium, 95% of the Dental premium, and 60% of the Vision premium. The Board contributes $2,000 to your HSA annually if you choose a family plan. The Board contributes $1,100 to your HSA annually if you choose a single plan.
