Job summary

Vantage Point Retirement Living is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team and create memorable dining experiences for our residents. You will prepare meals using standardized recipes, coordinate with service hours, and ensure safety and quality across all dishes in a warm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year of related food prep experience, including full-line menus and therapeutic diets.
• Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items using standardized recipes.
• Determine food and supplies needed.
• Coordinate meal production with service hours.
• Monitor food items for temperature, taste, and quality.
• Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of food items per the menu cycle and recipes.
• Oversee proper food storage procedures.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.
• Maintain food safety equipment records and temperature records.
• Practice all safety and loss prevention measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description of responsibilities:
