Job summary

Stellar Senior Living in Las Vegas is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our large senior living community. You will prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment, following health and safety regulations and our company standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in a similar role, knowledge of special diets, and the ability to read recipes. You will work with a team to deliver nutritious meals and maintain quality across services.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of special diets and large-group meal preparation preferred.
• Safe food handling techniques are required.
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Team-oriented with strong verbal/written communication.
• Flexible shifts and ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Nevada Food Handlers certification or equivalent required.

Job Description

Our cooks prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations, as well as company standards. To be a successful cook, you will be quick and diligent and be able to follow instruction and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of all basic food production skill sets with the ability to perform these error-free and meet the company quality standards
• Prepares and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized manner

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar position.
