Hours: Every other weekend, varied days during the week.

Position overview:

As a Cook, you will support the delivery and execution of quality food service to residents and guests.

Responsibilities:

·Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.

·Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.

·Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

·Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.

·Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization’s values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.

·Setting up, cleaning, and organizing workstations.

·Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

·Preparing and operating kitchen equipment for shift.

·Taking orders from wait staff or computerized system.

·Cooking order according to food health and safety standards.

·Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.

·Handling multiple food orders at one time.

·Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders arrive.

·Dressing order for presentation.

·Ensuring each guest order has the correct food and sides.

·Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely manner.

·Sanitizing and cleaning workstations and utensils.

·Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.

·Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Qualifications:

·High school degree or equivalent.

·Two (2) years of experience as a cook preferred.

·Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

·Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

·Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift.

·Self-motivated and self-directed.

·Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.

·Able to quickly manage multiple orders.

·Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.
