Job summary

Canal Barge Company is seeking a Cook for our fleet of Inland Towing Vessels. You will prepare three balanced meals daily for the crew and keep the galley clean and orderly while prioritizing safety and hygiene.

The role requires safety awareness and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. Travel reimbursement is provided and a pre-employment screening is required.

Qualifications

• Must be safety oriented and able to work in a physically demanding environment.
• Experience in galley or kitchen operations preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and hygiene policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare three well-balanced meals per day for the crew.
• Operate a net, clean, safe and orderly galley.
• Order, manage and maintain groceries under guidance from the Vessel Master.

The work schedule consists of 28 days on and 28 days off with travel reimbursement.
