Maintain kitchen and cooking area in a safe, orderly, clean, and sanitary manner. Prepare tasteful meals and cook a variety of foods in large quantities. Follow prepared menus and portion control guides. Prepare special diets accurately and record food temperatures. Prepare pureed foods and work cooperatively with all departments. Maintain sanitizer buckets, assist with serving meals, and clean cooking areas and carts. Report resident care concerns to management and participate in staff training. Present food appealingly and supervise staff in the absence of the Dietary Supervisor. Ensure all cleaning schedules are followed.
Frequent standing/walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, talking, tasting, smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crouching. Vision requires focus adjustment for close, distance, color, and depth perception.
Typically low to moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
